Appointments can be made for Gary to visit the client at home, office or hotel and there is no minimum order, whatever the amount, the aim is to develop a long term relationship with clients, for many of whom Gary has been making his whole career.
A customer’s needs will first be discussed. Where garments will be worn and how often may dictate which materials are chosen. Personal choices of buttons, collar shape and cuff styles will be noted and incorporated into the shirt. Once this process is complete, measurements will be taken. Account will be made for watches and any other details such as pockets and initials – embroidered by hand on the shirt – will be discussed.
For more formal occasions, such as weddings or eveningwear, Gary can provide guidance on which fabrics and styles may best suit the wearer and complements any other garments to be worn.
Womenswear is a major part of Gary’s business. A very different set of skills is required to measure, cut and construct a garment for the female form. The same exacting process of consultation, fabric selection, choosing detail requirements and measurement takes place, with the shirt or blouse tailored accordingly.
Only the finest materials are used, with an enormous selection of two-fold cotton poplin, royal oxford, voiles and sea island cottons available, in a vast range of colours and patterns from the traditional to more lively designs comparable to those of contemporary designers.
